The Pullman Yards Artist Residency is a dynamic program designed to spark meaningful collaboration and cultural exchange. By pairing one regional artist with one visiting artist from across the U.S. or abroad, the residency fosters a rich dialogue between local and global perspectives. This unique structure deepens the creative process and leads to compelling, multidimensional outcomes. Open to artists working in film, visual arts, and new media, the program builds on the legacy of Pullman Yards’ cofounders, Adam Rosenfelt and Maureen Meulen, whose experience in the film industry continue to inform and inspire this creative hub. It also aligns with Pullman Yards’ ongoing transformation into a vibrant arts and entertainment district—one that champions innovation, storytelling, and cultural impact. The residency hosts one regional artist and one visiting artist from the US or abroad for six to ten weeks of immersive work. Four artists will be selected annually across two seasonal cohorts. Residents receive private housing, studio space, a $500 weekly stipend, transportation support, and professional development through mentorship and engagement with curators, collectors, and industry leaders. Applicants must be working in film, visual arts, or new media and demonstrate a commitment to experimentation and community engagement. Each residency culminates in an open studio day to share works-in-progress with the public. The application is free and open to artists who are at least 21 years old.
