Rachelle Bruno is a self-taught acrylic and mixed-media artist working under the name Patelleart. Her work blends bold texture, layered color, and expressive movement using palette knives and brushwork. With pieces ranging from abstract compositions to florals, animals, and modern character studies, her art explores emotion, resilience, and individuality. Her paintings have been featured in multiple magazines and exhibited in galleries, and she continues to create from her Louisiana studio.

Artist Statement

My work is rooted in texture, emotion, and movement. I build each piece in layers — physically and conceptually — using acrylics, texture pastes, and palette knives to create depth you can both see and feel. I’m drawn to bold contrast, expressive strokes, and compositions that feel alive. Whether abstract or representational, my goal is the same: to create work that resonates personally. I want viewers to pause, feel something, and find their own meaning inside the layers.
