Tim Fontenot is a native of Southwest Louisiana. He is retired from a career of designing control systems for industrial clients. He has been actively involved in photography since 1974. He is married to "Gerry" Broussard Fontenot for over 50 years. He enjoys being in Nature, whether fishing, exploring photo opportunities, or traveling. He is a Christian (Catholic) and is a member of his local church community.

Artist Statement

Hi - I am Tim Fontenot, a native of Southwest Louisiana and a student of photography since 1974. My primary focus is creating Nature images. South Louisiana is where most of my images are captured because it is Home. I am a self-taught amateur photographer who has been featured in Louisiana Life Magazine, Acadiana Profile Magazine, and international photography magazines. To date, I have received several awards, including “Photographer Of The Year” from International photo competition groups for Color and Black & White photography. I am a member of Gallery By The Lake in Lake Charles, Louisiana with gallery space in the Historic City Hall Arts And Cultural Center in Lake Charles. I am a past board member of the Arts Council of Southwest Louisiana, and my works have been exhibited in several locations throughout this area. I am a resident of Moss Bluff, where I live with my wife of over 50 years. We have two incredible children and five wonderful grandchildren.
